The United Church of Canada website has two specific areas devoted to women: United Church Women (UCW) and Women’s Ministries. As part of the UCW area there is section on Vision & Mission Statement, Overview of the Structure, and Life Membership. UCW is a formal, structured organization within the Women’s Ministries Network. All other women’s groups within the church are part of Women’s Ministries.

 

The UCW – Meadowood is the home of “Let’s Break Bread Together” and “Brunches & Lunches and Suppers on the Go” cookbooks.

 In 1988, when the congregation was in the planning & financing stages of building a new church an appeal from UCW – Meadowood was sent out to all United Churches across Canada to submit their favourite recipe. The response was great and the results have been and still are overwhelming.
