“Stewardship is caring enough to share our time, talent, and treasures.”

Christian Stewardship is aligning our lifestyle to reflect our priorities. What we do in every facet of our life reflects what our beliefs/priorities are. This includes how we spend our time, talent and money. When we give our time, talent and money to God's work through the church, we confirm our conviction that these are God-given resources to be shared for the benefit of ourselves and others. This also confirms our faith in God and in God's work that we share in.
Stewardship of Time gives us the opportunity for involement and participation. Opportunities include worship service set up, study, fellowship groups and many more.
Stewardship of Talent encompasses a use of self that includes talents and skills combined with one's willingness to serve. Some of these opportunities include ushering, greeting, visiting and providing leadership.
Stewardship of Money lets us re-align our personal financial budgets to reflect our faith and in so doing provide money for local and outreach ministies. It is not about church budgets nor deficits. It is about your need to give in response to your faith,
There are as many ways to serve with your time, talent and money as there are unique individuals in our congregation. The Stewardship GOALS may be summarized in two brief statements:
In Service:    Every person serving God in some capacity through the church.
In Finance:    The United Church in Meadowood to remain self-sufficient.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned Giving is simply planning to make a future gift to your church from accumulated assets, current income or your estate, and is a way to ensure our church will be there to comfort and accompany future generations as it has us. The Church has Regional Gift Planners who provide advice and they are knowledgeable in the matters of taxes and they are experienced in having walked through the process with others. There is no charge for their help. For more information on Planned Giving, you can access the website of the United Church of Canada by clicking on the link below , or by contacting our own Regional Gift Planner, Kathryn Hofley at (204) 943-4844 or our local Stewardship Committee.
